Started by morganb · 1 year ago

No joke. In San Diego you’ll get a second home for free with the purchase of another (more expensive home). If that isn’t a sign that the market is still terrible in San Diego I don’t know what is, and if you’re trying to sell your own home you certainly can’t compete with [...] ... Continue reading »

I posted the picture. It turns out when I called them it was more of a marketing trick - tthey were offering a Mother-Daughter special and were calling it two houses.
  • * Promo ends May 31, 2008.

    When was it posted?
  • I'm not sure when it was posted - check the LA Land blog for the details.
  • A free house sure beats a flat screen TV or a granite upgrade. Talk about a "Blue Light Special"!
  • I know some are giving away Prius cars for buying 'green' homes. Seems like
a car is a rip off compared to another home!
  • Wow! You could put aunt edna in the house next door. This is perfect if you have a little WT in ya or want to upgrade from the trailer park!
  • All I can say is "wow!" I didn't think I'd ever see the "buy one, get one free" ad in Real Estate.
  • it is quite an eye opener!
  • Being in San Diego, I'm not suprised. I think 40 percent of everything on the market here is a short sale or a foreclosure.

I think you'll see the bottom here in the next 10 months, then it will be flat for a while.
  • Just saw this on Digg yesterday. Unbelievable. Guess some builders are upping their game.
  • How would the loan go down on this deal? Would you be able to spread it across both houses? Would they be totally separate? Would you be able to purchase and then cash out to help pay the $1.6m?
  • interesting - take a big loan on the first, pull some equity out of the
unencumbered second property. put option arms on both of them... :)
