This makes little sense. Once again, pandering to the irresponsible home debtor at the expense of everyone else. Banks are businesses. Home debtor makes a bad gamble. The bank needs to cut its losses and get the house moved and off its sheet the quicker the better because as time goes by , prices get lower. You pander to helping the irresponsible, you end up with much bigger losses.
