Is Strategic Foreclosing The Best Loan Modification For You
One thing that is definitely chapping my ass is HR1728. I'm a private real estate investor, and I buy the houses most people won't touch or owners can't sell. I guess I'm sort of like a dung beatle or a maggot (if you really don't like investors) - I may not be pretty, but I help clean up the mess and sludge that's left over after qualified buyers are done picking over the pretty houses.
The only way I CAN sell my properties is through owner financing with contract for deed. I sell to people who are coming out of divorce, bankruptcy, are self employed, etc - people that can afford a mortgage but can't get one. I charge less than FHA for a downpayment, and stay well within state guidelines on interest rates. I've never had any problems with sellers OR buyers - everybody's happy.
Now you're saying I can't do that?! I'd sure as hell like to see what happens to the housing market when all that's left is realtors and lenders. You'll see block after block of rotting houses with no one to buy and no one to sell them.
Note to the Senate and Congress - PLEASE leave us alone already. Really. You've done quite enough damage already.
the problem is this: you have to learn to keep up instead of whining.
